He graduated summa cum laude from the University of Notre Dame with a degree in Biological Sciences before earning his medical degree from the Vanderbilt University School of Medicine. He went on to complete his plastic surgery residency at University of Texas Southwestern Medical Center—one of the most prestigious and competitive plastic surgery training programs in the country.
