What to Expect During Eyelid Surgery
Surgery on the upper eyelids involves and incision made in the crease above each eye. Excess fatty tissue and skin are removed and then the incisions are closed with fine sutures that dissolve on their own. Lower eyelid surgery is done to remove fatty tissue that creates under eye bags, causing the patient to look tired or even sad. Incisions may be made inside the lower eyelid or hidden along natural smile crease along the lower lash line allowing the excess tissue to be removed.
